Diffuse is an offline-first social feed for public updates that need to move when internet service is unreliable. Write a post, attach a photo or source, and share it through nearby devices over Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Direct. When a connection returns, Diffuse can sync with the wider public feed.

Each post carries a cryptographic signature. You can export evidence bundles and check them with independent verification tools. A valid signature shows that the signed bytes have not changed and identifies the signing key. It does not prove that a claim is true or reveal a person's legal identity.

Use Diffuse without an account, or connect an optional OfflineID profile. Device-only profiles keep their identity material on your phone. Public posts are designed to travel across devices and relays, so copies that have already been shared cannot be recalled.

Diffuse lets you:

• Publish signed text, links, sources, and photos
• Exchange updates with nearby devices over Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Direct
• Read a global public feed when internet access is available
• Create Situation Rooms around shared locations and events
• Save important posts in an encrypted local archive
• Export evidence bundles for independent verification
• Share encrypted updates with accepted connections
• Report content, mute authors, and use signed safety updates
• Delete an optional OfflineID account from Advanced settings

Location is optional. If you choose to use it, Diffuse rounds coordinates before sharing an area label. Android may also require location permission for Wi-Fi Direct discovery on some versions. Selected photos are decoded and re-encoded on your device to remove embedded metadata before they are attached to a post.

Diffuse is built for public information that may need to cross unreliable networks. Think carefully before publishing sensitive material. A public post may be copied by nearby devices, relays, archives, or recipients.
