All Index properties of soils in geotechnical engineering can be computed from five basic laboratory tests. Bar diagrams show the relative magnitude of the index properties regarding their maximum and minimum limits. This App also shows a full-phase diagram, which changes its proportions according to the results of the tests. This diagram allows visualisation of the variation of the three components (solids, water and air) depending on the index properties. Also, a unique plot represents the variation of the different unit weights as a function of the water contents. All possible combinations of water content versus unit weight are restricted under the total saturation line, the maximum unit weight line and the minimum unit weight line. An additional plot shows the relationship between water content and void ratio. The units system can be selected by the user.
