Über dieses Spiel

Backgammon, the world's oldest board game — done properly.

Backgammon Classic is a complete backgammon board game you can play anywhere. Take on a smart AI opponent, or hand the device back and forth for 2 player pass & play. No account. No wifi. No waiting for a match to start.

DICE YOU CAN ACTUALLY TRUST
Every backgammon app on the store gets accused of rigging the dice. We measured ours and published the number: doubles come up 16.67% of the time — exactly 1 in 6, the same as two real dice on a real board. The dice statistics are visible inside the game, so you never have to take our word for it. No streaks engineered to make you lose. No "comeback" rolls handed to the computer.

PLAY BACKGAMMON OFFLINE, ANYWHERE
The full offline backgammon game runs with no internet connection. Play on a flight, on the subway, in a waiting room, or anywhere with no wifi and no signal. This is an offline board game first — online is optional, never required.

AN AI THAT PLAYS REAL BACKGAMMON
Choose your opponent's strength and get an opponent that actually plays the game — priming, blitzing, holding games, timing, race decisions and cube handling. Beginners get a fair fight. Experienced players get an opponent worth beating.

2 PLAYER PASS & PLAY
Play a friend across the table on a single device. Two player backgammon with no sign-up, no matchmaking and no lobby.

CLASSIC RULES, NOTHING MISSING
Doubling cube, gammons and backgammons, bearing off, and the standard opening position. Legal moves are highlighted as you go, so new players can learn the rules of this classic dice game by playing them.

COME BACK EVERY DAY
Earn a star every day you play and build your streak.

BUILT FOR EVERY DEVICE
Phones, tablets and Chromebooks, in portrait or landscape. Available in 10 languages.

ALSO KNOWN AS
Backgammon is played worldwide under many names — Tavla, Nard, Narde, Shesh Besh, Tapa, Gammon, Tables and Acey Deucey. If you grew up playing any of these, this is your game.

WHY PLAYERS SWITCH
Fair dice they can verify. An offline board game that respects their time. A backgammon dice game that plays like the real thing instead of a slot machine.
