WHAT IT DOES

MoldProof is an offline field record for the mold assessor. It stores what you
measured, what you photographed and what you sampled, and prints it as a
document you can hand over. It makes no finding about a building and no
statement about anybody's health.

Readings that are judged against something
- Every moisture reading is compared to a control reading YOU took, in an
unaffected area of the same material
- The app prints no moisture threshold. There is no numeric pass or fail set by
any standards body, and the method the trade uses is the comparison, not a
number
- A control only qualifies a reading of the same material family, taken with
the same meter type, on the same scale. A pin meter and a pinless meter do
not share a scale, so a control taken with one cannot qualify a reading taken
with the other
- When nothing qualified, the reading is Not established, and the screen says
which piece is missing. Not established is never reported as a pass
- The comparison tolerance is yours to set. It defaults to zero, and the value
in force is printed on the report

Room by room
- Add rooms as you walk them and readings as you take them
- Temperature and relative humidity per room, with the dew point computed from
what you measured rather than typed a second time
- Photographs with your own captions, annotated on the phone

Samples the laboratory can check
- Reference, type and room, matching the chain of custody form
- Pump flow rate, start and stop, and the volume derived from them. Fifteen
litres per minute for five minutes is seventy five litres, and the report
prints the rate and the duration beside the volume so the lab can check the
arithmetic
- A sample stays Open until both a laboratory and a date sent are recorded.
Either one alone is a half filled record, not a dispatched sample
- MoldProof records no result and predicts none. The laboratory issues that, on
its own report

The document
- Cover with your name, the licence name and number exactly as you entered them,
and the date
- Every room, with each reading beside the control it was measured against
- Sample chain of custody with the laboratory and the date sent
- Photograph appendix, and the disclaimer on the cover
- Written in English whatever language the app is set to, because a client and
a laboratory both read it and the bundled typefaces do not carry every script

WHO IT IS FOR
- Independent mold assessors and inspectors
- Home inspectors who add a moisture and sampling scope
- Anyone who takes readings and samples on site and has to produce the record

ABOUT LICENSING

Four US jurisdictions license mold assessors: Florida, Texas, New York and
Washington DC. Several other states regulate the remediator instead. The app
offers those four and an explicit not-a-licensing-state option, prints the
licence name and number you entered and nothing else, and never describes you
as licensed on your behalf. In Texas the licence has grades and they are not
interchangeable, which is why the app asks you to name yours.

YOUR RECORDS STAY ON YOUR DEVICE

Properties, assessments, readings, samples and photographs are stored on the
phone. There is no account and no sign in. The app does send crash reports and
anonymous usage statistics, and the standard tier shows ads.

SCOPE

MoldProof is a record keeping tool. It is not an inspection service, a
laboratory, or legal, health or remediation advice. The finding is yours and
the result is the laboratory's.
