Long press does not always work. AnyCopy helps you copy text on screen from any app, even when normal text selection is blocked.

Use Accessibility mode for fast universal copy, or switch to on-device OCR when text is inside an image, screenshot, photo, document, or paused video frame. Select the text you need, copy to clipboard, then paste, search, share, save, or translate it in another app.

Two ways to copy text

Accessibility mode is designed for regular app screens. It reads visible interface text after you trigger AnyCopy, then shows selectable text areas over the current screen. This is useful for messages, comments, product details, tracking numbers, addresses, codes, captions, descriptions, and visible links.

OCR mode is designed for image-based text. If the text is part of a picture, screenshot, poster, scanned page, menu, receipt, presentation, or video frame, AnyCopy can capture the screen and recognize text on your device. Use this when you need to copy text on image offline or when Accessibility cannot read the screen.

How it works

1. Open AnyCopy.
2. Choose Accessibility mode or OCR mode.
3. Grant the required permissions for the mode you want to use.
4. Tap the persistent notification when you want to copy text on screen.
5. Select one or more text areas in the overlay.
6. Copy to clipboard or share.

Permissions and privacy

Accessibility Service is used for universal copy. It reads visible on-screen text only to help you select and copy text from the current app screen.

Screen Capture is used for OCR. It captures the current screen so AnyCopy can recognize text on your device and show selectable results in the overlay. OCR processing does not require uploading screenshots for recognition.

Display over other apps is used to show the text selection overlay. Notification permission is used to keep the copy trigger available.
