Among the hermit crabs that roam the sea, an old legend is told: an island where every shell in the world was born. Awesome Island. Hermit crab heroes, each carrying their own dream and their own story, boarded the exploration ship Blue Ocean and set sail for the legendary island.

That night a great storm shook the sea, and a whirlpool rising from the abyss swallowed the ship. When they came to, they lay on an unfamiliar beach that appeared on no map. This was Awesome Island. And the island hides old glyphs, old seals, and the stirring of something beneath.

■ Your shell is your power
In Shell Heroes, a shell is not an outfit. Every shell has its own attack, defense, HP and a unique special ability, and it breaks when its durability runs out. When it breaks, shed it and put on the next one. Gather materials across the island, craft and upgrade shells at the Sora Village workshop, and find the right combination for the terrain and the boss in front of you.

■ Nine heroes, nine ways to play
The nine hermit crab heroes all differ in how they attack, move and unleash their ultimate. Each has a story of their own; follow it to reach exclusive minigames, new abilities and rewards.

■ Seven regions, seven bosses
From the sunlit Glimmer Beach through the Palm Jungle, Rocky Coast, Tide Pool, Shipwreck and Deep Sea Ruins, down to the Origin Abyss the island has kept hidden. Every region brings new mechanisms, monsters and secret paths. At the end of each waits a boss that picks its patterns to fit the situation. Read the tell, dodge, and strike the opening.

■ Life in Sora Village
The stranded heroes' home base. Help Grandma Marina and the villagers, craft shells at the workshop, grow stronger in the Growth Burrow, and fill the codex with shells and monsters. When you're ready, descend into the abyss and challenge the deeper floors.
