Hello and welcome to KISO: Ikoni Studio’s super fun word guessing game. We specialize in infusing elements of African, African American and Caribbean history and culture into your favorite everyday games. We figure that everything is better when a little bit of flavor, spice and soul is added to it!
KISIO is our word guessing game offering. You can pick from two game options: Abbott or Hillman.
THE ABBOTT GAME:
The Abbott Game is by far the simplest game option. You will always have a maximum of 6 chances to guess the correct word. You can earn points as you play, but there are no levels, life hearts or bookmarks available or used when playing this version.
THE HILLMAN GAME:
The Hillman Game is the more challenging version of KISIO. This version involves progression, the more you win the harder the game will become to win. Don’t fret too much, the progression is slow! As you play and win more and more games you will conquer level after level and earn a plethora of Life Hearts. As you progress, the game will offer you fewer and fewer free chances to guess the correct word. Your Life Hearts will come in handy when you run out of free opportunities to guess the correct word.
THE DAILY GAME
The Daily Game is offered only once per day and is played under the Hillman rules. This game offers you the opportunity to earn bonuses such as additional Life Hearts, extra points, trophies and the clearing of your bookmarked words.

As we shared earlier, we do our best to respectfully infuse elements of African, African American and Caribbean cultures into our games. You may have already picked up that KISIO’s game modes reference two popular African American sitcoms. Another obvious example are the game’s backgrounds. The colorful, and we think quite beautiful, main background is inspired by a South African fabric print.
If you want to make a change you can also pick from more than 2 dozen unique backgrounds. Many of our backgrounds feature beautiful Black characters living their best life (because positive representation only!). We also have a number of backgrounds that give a nod to the many African American fraternities and sororities.
KISIO is a great way to keep your brain sharp, build your vocabulary and have some fun in your downtime! Don’t forget to tell a friend.
