Über diese App

Baby Names by Settle is the name-matching app made for couples — swipe names together and find the one you both love.

Choosing your baby's name should bring you closer, not start arguments. Settle turns the search for baby names into something you enjoy as a couple: you each swipe through baby names on your own phone, and the app surfaces the names you BOTH love.

HOW IT WORKS
• Link with your partner using a simple invite code.
• Swipe through baby names — keep the ones you like, pass on the rest, and super-like your favourites.
• When you both approve the same name, it becomes a Match.
• Drag your matches into your perfect order to build a shared shortlist.

FIND BABY NAMES THAT FIT
• Thousands of girl names and boy names to explore.
• Baby names with meanings and origins, so you know the story behind every name.
• From popular baby names to unique and rare baby names — filter by era, from timeless classics to modern favourites.
• Explore Scottish, Irish and Welsh baby names, and filter by cultural origin to honour your heritage.
• Check name popularity trends, built on official records, to see whether a name is rising or fading.
• Stuck for inspiration? Settle works like a baby name generator — fresh name ideas arrive with every swipe.
• Can't find the one? Add your own names to the deck.

THE STORY BEHIND EVERY NAME
Tap any name to see its meaning, its origin and how its popularity has changed over time. Discover namesakes you'd never considered, and turn "maybe" into "definitely" with real information — not just gut feeling.

WHY COUPLES LOVE SETTLE
• No more endless lists and screenshots — everything lives in one shared space.
• You each browse at your own pace, whenever suits you.
• Your partner only sees the names you liked — never the ones you passed on — so the conversation starts from "yes".
• A calm, private way to narrow thousands of baby names down to a shortlist you both love.
• Your names live with your account, not the handset, so nothing is lost if you change phone.

FOR EVERY STAGE OF THE JOURNEY
Whether you have just found out you're expecting, you're halfway through pregnancy and still undecided, or you're a mum to be (or dad to be) who has collected name ideas for years, Settle gives the two of you a fun, low-pressure way to agree — long before the birth announcement.

PRIVATE AND SIMPLE
• Sign in securely with Google — no passwords to remember.
• Your data is only ever used to run the app, and you can delete your account and data at any time.

Start swiping — and settle on the one.

Neuerungen

New name, same app. Settle: Baby Names is now Baby Names by Settle. Also in this update: the app picks a sensible home region and language on first launch, and you can hide double-barrelled names from your deck. Plus small fixes throughout.
