Co-Pod is a cocoa farmer focused mobile application that has been co-produced with farmer communities in Ghana. The intention is to support farmers accessing relevant farm management information and gaining experience monitoring their own farms to realise locally relevant climate smart cocoa cultivation. This is particularly pertinent as the regional climate is changing, including more intense dry seasons, shifting rainy seasons and more intense El Nino events. Adaptation of practices is required to ensure continued productivity and long term resilience of the sector. Project partners include the Nature Conservation Research Centre (NCRC) in Ghana and the UK Centre for Ecology and Hydrology (UKCEH), University of Dundee and Flumens Ltd in Europe.
