Plixylus is an exciting endless adventure game that brings back the nostalgia of classic 5th generation console games. The player takes on the role of different characters with unique advantages and disadvantages as they navigate an artificial planet filled with dynamic and challenging obstacles.

Each map is randomly generated and sets specific scores to be achieved. Records can also be set for specific achievements, such as reaching the highest altitude. The goal is to collect coins and achieve high scores while avoiding dangerous explosives, falling off the edge into the smog, and other obstacles in the player's path.

The game offers endless replayability. Not only are maps generated for each game, but there are various add-ons. For example, sometimes players can enter the Night World, an underground, cavernous and cold world with different obstacles than above ground. Plixylus features characters with unique strengths and weaknesses. When playing as the Ice Cube, the player can run along the ground and jump up and down, but it is easier to fall into the smog. While playing as the butterfly, the player can flap their wings to move up and fly, or stop flapping to go down, which allows them to avoid falling, but they must be careful not to get dragged along the main path or damaged by the moving threats that litter their path.

Players can also interact with the 3D environment. Challenges evolve and change over time, with different creatures and threats to understand.
