One of the interesting sides of Islamic law is the opening of doors and the provision of comfortable space for empirical knowledge, science and all that is based on the scientific method.
A. Dark European History
Compared to the dark history that Europeans experienced in the Middle Ages, Muslims were actually far more fortunate. They do not experience a conflict of interests between dogmatic religious leaders and scientists.
In medieval times, Europeans still believed that the earth was the center of the universe. If someone says that the earth is the moon and revolves around the sun, this could invite trouble because it is against religious doctrine.
1.Galileo Galilei
That's what happened to the Italian philosopher, astronomer and mathematician, Galileo Galilei. On February 13, 1633, he was tried for heresy. Galileo arrived in Rome to face charges of heresy for supporting Copernicus' claim that the Earth revolved around the Sun.
