The hallmark of Islamic law is the relief and convenience that is spread in almost all parts of worship. One of them is the leniency to perform qashar prayer. Mengqashar is reducing the number of cycles of the Ruba'iyah prayer (which has four cycles) to two cycles.

1. Language
The meaning of the word qashr in language is to reduce or summarize. It is mentioned in the Al-Quran that Rasulullah SAW dreamed of going to Hajj, then some of the Companions shaved their heads (muhalliqin) and some shaved some of them (muqashshirin).
Verily, Allah will prove to His Messenger about the truth of his dream in truth (namely) that in fact you will definitely enter the Grand Mosque, God willing, in a safe condition, by shaving your head and cutting it, while you are not afraid. (QS. Al-Fath: 27)
2. Term
Meanwhile, in terminology, the definition of qashr prayer is to reduce the number of cycles of fard prayer, from four cycles to two cycles.
The Fajr prayer is two cycles of prayer, there is no provision to make it up. Likewise, the Maghrib prayer, which is three cycles of prayer, also has no provisions to make it up. And even sunnah prayers do not have qashar provisions.
