Retina display standard is the eyes looking at a 300 dpi screen from distance 12 inch. Under these conditions, the "angular density" is about 63 ppd.
So to get same experience, you have to adjust ( the resolution or distance ) so the angular density is also 63 ppd. This is the Retina display requirement.
But if you adjust the distance, sometimes you will get a distance that is out of the ideal range. So in this app we provide an ideal distance guide, so the final adjustment is only calculated on the screen resolution.
What you can calculate with this app?
- Ideal screen distance to eyes
- Screen density
- Screen angular density
- Minimal resolution as retina display standard
