When using the cycling feature and sending the app to the background, it is necessary to have 'Background Location Access' to record your cycling route.

Ratings and reviews

DO NOT BUY. The smart features of the Velotric bikes make them actively worse. The bikes fail to connect far more often than they connect requiring lengthy troubleshooting to resolve. The theft features very frequently return false positives, and the times I would expect it to trigger it doesn't or does fat too late. The connection issues cause the battery to drain without any warning so if you leave it unplugged (intentionally) and unused for a few days expect it to not have any battery. .....

I really wish I had reviewed the app before purchasing the T1, because app shuts down in the pairing. The error message says app has bugs, access denied until app developers fix it. Well! This sucks. I was really looking forward to the integration of technology between my phone and the bike I just assembled today. Very disappointed, and may return the bike.

The bike is great, the app is buggy. The pairing sucks, the navigation in the app sometimes is unresponsive. I tried contacting the support in the app and it tried using a captcha but said java wasn't enabled, when it is on my phone. Copy and paste won't work in the message center after that, even after clearing the cache. If this many people have problems, consider making permanent fixes.
