A tool for performing solar site analysis using a smartphone. Solar Survey provides estimates of the solar resource in a location based on TMY3 meteorological data from the internet, and allows measurement of potential shading obstacles using an augmented reality display via the camera. Shading information is output in a format available for input to other solar analysis software.
