In the elder days of yore, when the mighty Google Pixel held dominion over the realm, the Ring and Notification volumes were melded into a single entity, begetting an unhallowed union that wrought discord and pandemonium amidst the populace. Distressed and forlorn, the common folk cried out for salvation from this harsh cacophony, beseeching a deliverance from the tyranny of these potent volumes bound by fate's cruel hand. And so it was decreed: the Ring and Notification volumes were to be cleaved in twain, their destines rent asunder to forestall further dissonance upon the fair lands.

Verily, not all devices of messaging and lore were forged with equal mastery or intent, and henceforth their inequalities waxed ever more manifest as the relentless march of time did tread its course.

Therewithal was unveiled a newfound liberty for each gentle soul to shape and calibrate their own auditory experiences emanating from these marvels of creation.

Now herald forth this proclamation: hence let each wield command over their device's volume in accordance with their own desires, casting away those shackles of union in pursuit of bespoke symphony beneath peaceful guidance one decibel anon.
