South African revenue services (SARS) require you to keep a log book for all business travel you wish to claim. I wanted the minimum requirements to comply and to use as little of the sensors and data of the phone as possible. I do not use the GPS to calculate the distance, just put your starting ODO meter reading and the ending reading.

start by using the add cars button to add your cars. Then back on the main screen you just enter a description, select a date (today is default) and a time (now is default), and add you opening and closing ODO readings.

if you make a mistake you can delete the trip, delete all the trips for that car, or erase the data completely and start from scratch.

you can backup the DB to file and share (email) the file to yourself, you can also share (email) the CSV of the trips for a car to yourself, in a SARS compliant format.
