This app was designed by a banjo player who understands the common struggles that musicians encounter when they first pick up a banjo. A simple dropdown list allows the users to choose the chord. The app will then display the strings and the frets that you’ll need to strike a perfect major, minor, or seventh chord. The chords are for a 5-string banjo using open G tuning (G-DGBD). The strings are denoted as first, second, third and fourth with first being closest to the ground. An open fret is denoted by O. The user will not need extensive musical training or extreme familiarity with this instrument. Practice the chords that appear often in bluegrass and other genres, test your knowledge, and have fun getting to know this friendly instrument!
