Halal & Healthy provides information about ingredients and the source of food additives' origin (E-Code) used in manufacturing of food products by a simple scan of the its barcode.
This way it is easier to take better decision to use the product or not. We are trying at most to offer you the correct information.
A product, that was made in a non-Muslim country and does not have a Halal certificate, is considered as suspicious, if it contains a Haram or Doubtful Additive, or a suspicious ingredient.
If a product is suspicious, the user will get a list of Halal products alternatives.
We won't give any Fatwas regarding the usage of food products instead we provide suggestions but the final decision would be made by you. We don't support any particular organisation, manufacturer or ideology.
If a product is missing the user can easily add it and get instant results.
If there is something wrong on the product, the user can update it, it will be sent to the OFF Database.
* An additive, that was made in a non-Muslim country and does not have a Halal certificate, is considered:
- Halal (حلال): If its origin is always vegetarian.
- Doubtful (مشبوه): If its origin can be either vegetarian, animal or alcohol.
- Haram (حرام): If its origin is always animal or alcohol.
- Unknown: If its origin is unknown.
