The case for and/or incidence of innovations and renovations in financial services has become more compelling today, than ever. The critical elements that provides high availability and capacity to be functionally nimble and provide relevant products and services in the face of local and international market dynamics in financial services is key. The dynamics have assumed the form of growing popularity in online business and self-service banking which is in turn driving the demand for better payment services, and mobile-payment technologies, further raising consumer expectations for additional payment systems features and functionality.
Specifically, there is an increasing demand for cross-border payments on international e commerce websites, educational payments such as universities fees, examination fees for certifications, mobile application downloads, participation in online content and on-line
shopping originating from our communities. At the same time there is an increased sub-regional acceptance of mobile money and the related immediacy of financial services, which now is a house-hold product and becoming increasingly pervasive.
