What Are Heightmaps?
Heightmaps store elevation data used in 3D graphics, game development, and procedural design. The app supports both grayscale and color heightmaps:
Grayscale heightmaps use brightness (from black to white) to represent elevation, where black indicates the lowest terrain and white the highest.
Color heightmaps use a gradient (blue to white), where blue represents low elevation and white the peaks.

Create and Customize Terrain Easily
With intuitive sliders and seed values, you can generate realistic terrain using fractal noise, bump mapping, and other procedural techniques. Choose your map type, customize the output size, and preview the result in 3D.

3D Terrain Preview
