WaitBuzz is a walk-in waitlist manager for restaurants, cafés, barbershops, salons and walk-in clinics. Guests scan a QR code at the door, enter their first name and party size, and open a waitlist page on their own phone. The page shows their position in line and an estimated wait. When the host taps Ready, the page alerts the guest, with web push notifications where the browser supports them. No guest app to install, no phone numbers collected and no SMS charges.

Use it as a restaurant waitlist, or as the walk-in waitlist for a salon, barbershop or clinic. Your QR code waitlist lets guests join from their own phones, and the app gives hosts one place to call, seat and reorder them.

WHAT IT DOES

The host list
Every party in order with their name, party size, how long they have waited and any note such as high chair, booth or wheelchair access. Tap Ready to call them, then Seated when they sit down. Drag to reorder, move a party to the front, mark a no-show or put someone back on the list. Walk-ups without a phone go on with Add walk-in.

The buzz page
Guests join from the QR and get a live page with their position and an estimated wait. When you tap Ready the page turns orange with a chime and a vibration where the phone allows it, and a web alert reaches the phone when the guest turned alerts on. They can tap On our way, which you see on the list, or leave the list if plans change. The guest page is in English, Spanish and French.

Holding a called guest
Choose how long to hold a called guest. A second alert goes out halfway through, and when the time runs out the party is marked as a no-show so the list keeps moving. Set it to zero to turn both off.

Wait estimates
The quote above the list tells you what to say to the next walk-in. Estimates start from a pace you choose, then adjust using the seating times recorded during the day. They are labelled as estimates, never promises.

Door poster and join QR
Show the join QR on your own screen at the counter, share the link, or print a door poster PDF with your business name and the code.

TV board
Open a board on any screen with a browser by the door. It shows who is ready and who is next by first name, refreshes every few seconds and carries your join QR.

Stats
Parties per hour, average and longest wait, seated parties and the no-show rate for today, the last 7 days or the last 30 days, with a CSV export.

Hosts and locations
Several hosts can run the same list live from their own phones or tablets with invite codes, and a business with more than one location gets a list for each. A host PIN keeps Stats and Settings locked on a shared tablet while the list stays open at the door. Tablets get a two-pane layout with the waiting list beside the called and seated parties.

TIERS

Standard runs one list with up to 25 parties a day, and guests still get the buzz page. Solo adds unlimited parties, wait estimates and the door poster for one location. Pro adds more locations, five host seats, the TV board and stats. Everything you recorded stays readable on every tier, and every record can be exported as JSON.

WHO IT IS FOR

Independent restaurants, cafés, barbershops, nail and hair salons and walk-in clinics that keep a walk-in list.

WaitBuzz does not take reservations, deposits or payments, and it never builds a marketing list from your guests. For a clinic it manages a queue of first names, not patient records or appointments. Guest names are deleted from WaitBuzz's servers after 120 days. The list is stored on WaitBuzz's servers so every host and every guest page sees the same line. Changes a host makes during a short signal drop are kept on the device and sent when the connection returns; guests need a connection to join.
