Enter the house size and the pitch. Rooftally lays the roof out flat like a sewing pattern, measures every piece and turns it into an order slip you can take to the supplier.
MEASURE FROM THE GROUND
• Measure the walls, not the roof. The overhang is added on its own.
• Gable, hip, shed and flat roofs, or enter a measured area.
• Pitch in x/12, degrees or percent. Drag the ridge on the side view and watch the pitch change.
• Feet and inches or metres.
THE ORDER SLIP
• Shingles in bundles, hip and ridge cap, starter strip, roofing nails, underlayment, drip edge, ice and water shield, ridge vent.
• Architectural and 3-tab shingles, metal panels and standing seam, concrete and clay tile, corrugated sheets, built-up roofing.
• Waste set by the roof: 10 % on simple roofs, 15 % with hips, 20 % with valleys. Change it any time.
• One spare bundle on request, because running short stops the job for a day.
COST AND QUOTES
• Your own prices per bundle, roll or square, plus crew price and tax.
