À propos de l'application
Scroll books the way you scroll reels.
Doomreader turns books and articles into short posts you scroll like a feed. Swipe up for the next one. It's the whole book, not a summary, and your place is always saved. Easier to read than a wall of text, more rewarding than reels, and you actually reach the end. Turn doomscrolling into doomreading.
Discover free books while you scroll
Discover is a feed of the best opening scenes and lines from 2,800 free classics, from Meditations and Pride and Prejudice to Sherlock Holmes, plus economics, science, self-help and biographies. Like a passage? Keep reading from that exact page, or add the book to your library in one tap.
Ask your book or article anything
Forgot who a character is? Want an idea explained? Type or speak your question and get an answer from the text itself, with the passages it came from. The AI is sent only the few passages that may hold the answer, never the whole book. Sign in to ask 5 questions a month for free.
Bring your own books and articles
Doomreader is also a simple EPUB reader and PDF reader. Open any EPUB or PDF from your phone, or save an article from the web by pasting its link or sharing it to Doomreader. They all become the same easy feed, kept on your device, with your own shelves to organise them. Flip a PDF to its real pages when you want the original layout, a table or a diagram.
Everything else you'd want
• Listen: hands-free, at your speed, with your phone's own voices
• Likes and notes: keep the lines that matter, write notes beside them, and share them as images
• Daily goals and streaks: small wins that make reading a habit
• Fonts and themes: five reading fonts and themes like sepia, sage and dusk, all free
• Search inside any book and jump straight to the match
• Scroll several books together in one feed
• 7 languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, Hindi and Indonesian, with free books in each
Free to read
Reading, Discover, every free book, all fonts and themes, and 5 questions a month cost nothing. No sign-up needed to start reading.
Doomreader Pro
Pro adds sync across your devices, 100 questions a month, notes export and more saved articles.
Good to know
• The free books are public-domain classics from Standard Ebooks, Project Gutenberg and Wikisource
• Books with copy protection (DRM), password-locked PDFs and scanned PDFs (pictures of pages) can't be opened
• Your own books stay on your device unless you sign in and turn on sync
