Frederick Douglas said, “Once you learn to read, you will be forever free.” Reading is the soul of education. But the love of reading is on the decline, as children are bombarded with endless hours of easy video -- brain junk-food.

“Immersive Reading” is a technology aimed at reversing that harmful trend. Quality human narration is aligned word-for-word with book text to engage both ear and eye simultaneously.

Ever get a song stuck in your head? That is because we are creatures of language -- which is actually a form of music. Grammar and vocabulary are learned much faster by the ear than the eye. Immersive reading introduces the musical aspect of language back into a book -- boosting comprehension, enjoyment and absorption naturally.

Microsoft recently ran an Immersive Reading trial, and discovered that kids doing just twenty minutes of Immersive Reading each week leapt past their peers, advancing a full grade level in only a couple months. That was a weekly assignment. Just imagine the power of a daily assignment.
