Glopas is an easy to use and safe audio guide application for cities, tourist sights and parks to offer audio guidance serviced. Download this application if you are visiting a place with Glopas audio guide service.
This application is used both to play stories and record them, and to manage the contents at the service (audio collection of sights). You are also able to view pictures of the guided sights.
Stories are best heard with ear phones / a headset. Guiding goes on automatically when proceeding the sight, based on your GPS location. Stories can also be played by browsing the sights on map, unless the sights are set as secret (you can hear the guiding on a secret sight only by visiting the sight). Glopas is working together with music players. It pauses music while a story is being played, and resumes music after the story finishes.
Audio files are downloaded and later removed automatically based on your GPS location or map view, within selected quota for media files. You can also download audio files by browsing to the target destination when accessed to a wifi. Do this if your target region doesn't have mobile network coverage or mobile network access is expensive. An orange marker colour indicates when media files is cached.
For audio content makers
Exceed your visitors' expectations by offering audio guide service in their own language! Glopas is an easy and secure to use mobile platform for that. There are no limits to the number of language versions or sights. It works on Google map and applies the latest GPS location techniques.
If you represent an organisation willing to offer this service, download this application and contact us at service@glopas.com for purchasing a licence. Share location-based stories for a closed group or make them public for any visitor. In addition to sharing access rights, activation keys can be used to grant access to a collection. A sight story can be defined as secret to prevent it from being played before visiting the sight.
Administrators are authorized to share and change collection properties, and to approve new content added by Writers. Readers are the end users that visit a sight or listen to stories by browsing the map. There is no limit to the number of stories within a collection.
