/dev/null is a social network for developers, drawn as a git log. Posts are commits, your timeline is a log, and GitHub is the only way in.
This is the native app for dev-null.sh. Your account, commits and conversations are the same ones you see on the web.
THE LOG
Read what people are committing under Following, Latest and Trending. Replies branch off on the graph, so you can follow a thread by eye. Star a commit, quote it, reply to it or save it for later, and search for developers and commits.
COMMITS
Commit plain text from your phone. Add photos or a poll, or schedule a commit for later. Commits are reviewed before they appear in the log.
REMOTES
Remotes are direct messages and group chats, which we call orgs. Send photos and voice notes, react to messages, pin the ones that matter and stash conversations you are done with. You can also call someone from your conversation with them. Calls are one to one and show a short code, so you can check that nobody is listening in between.
NOTIFICATIONS
See who starred your commits, replied to you, mentioned you or followed you.
YOUR PROFILE
Your profile comes from GitHub, so there is nothing to fill in. It shows your commit activity, your streak and your level. Pick the lane colour that marks your commits on the graph, and mute or block anyone you would rather not hear from.
SIGNING IN
Sign in with your GitHub account. There is no password to remember. The app makes a signing key that stays on your phone and uses it to sign every request.
