We believe that every learner should own their own learning plan and not be set back by one-sized fits-all structured training. There are many apps to help build rich knowledge. But there is a problem. No matter how much fun, interactions, gamification and stimulating engagements are used to make information more appealing, knowledge only influence awareness but application can be lacking.

True learning that leads to measurable behavioural and performance change at work needs much more than information gained in passive consumption of information. Post the courses, post the interactions online, there is still a huge gap facing talents when they try to apply the awareness to actual work requirements. This is where few apps are addressing.

All apps are leveraging technology to address the common aspects such as access from any location and at any time, data tracking to build insights, upload and download, search efficiency, and etc. The big differentiator should be in the andragogy / geragogy / heutagogy / paragogy. In simple terms, how adult learners, who are working or even retired, typically seek help to do what they need to do and when they need it.

Researchers are coming out with so many new learning theories each year and how to keep up? We used our keen observation and listening across more than 40 years to identify the typical behavioural preferences and map the paths accordingly.

Osmosis Learning provides a flexible learning ecosystem where domain experts [we call them Pod Owners and their team] can easily create omni-paths for their learners to find performance support that best suit them, be it domain expert directed paths, self-directed paths, peers generated influence, webinars [synchronous or asynchronous], quizzes and surveys, etc – at point of need.

The ecosystem is a living space where both the Pod Owner [and team] and the learners sustain together, where:

1. passionate domain experts with deep skills and experience can create and curate a wide range of authentic digital learning assets / artefacts

2. agile and adaptive performance support allows businesses to be responsive to market challenges.

3. silo-driven learning are replaced by bridging real world knowledge / experience directly ‘from the ‘ground to the pot’ where workplace challenges need it the most and learners can be teachers and teachers can be learners

4. with a personal virtual performance support system, users can search for just-in-time [authenticated] answers or provide point-of-need answers to peers within specific domains.
