There's a small preview panel at the top of every Pattern Builder level, and inside it sits your entire goal: a target arrangement of triangles, squares, and hexagons that you need to recreate, piece by piece, exactly as shown. It's part puzzle, part drafting exercise — pick a shape from your tray, rotate it to the right angle, and drop it into the grid until every cell matches the blueprint in front of you.

The early levels ease you in gently, with small grids and just a few shapes to place, no rotation required. But it doesn't stay simple for long. Hexagons enter the mix, rotation becomes essential rather than optional, and grids grow from cozy 4x4 boards into sprawling 10x10+ layouts packed with a dozen or more shapes. Some levels even throw in Fixed Shapes — pieces already locked onto the grid — forcing you to plan the rest of your build around constraints you didn't choose.

If straightforward recreation isn't challenging enough, Mirror Mode flips the target pattern, requiring you to build its reflection instead of an exact copy — a small twist that demands a genuinely different kind of spatial thinking. And when you just want to build without any pressure to match a target at all, Free Build hands you an open sandbox grid and unlimited shapes to design whatever you like.

Placement mistakes cost nothing but a redo count — there's no penalty for experimenting, only a slightly lower star rating if you don't get it exactly right the first time. And if a shape has you stumped, a quick hint reveals exactly where and how it should be placed.
