"I Choose Hue" is a fast-paced, mind-bending arcade game designed to test your reflexes, cognitive speed, and ability to overcome interference in decision-making. Built around the famous Stroop Effect, the game challenges players to correctly identify colors displayed on-screen—despite conflicting textual cues before time runs out. With every correct answer, your score increases, pushing you higher up the leaderboard. However, every wrong choice costs you a heart, bringing you closer to defeat. The goal? Achieve the highest score possible before losing all your lives.
Gameplay Mechanics
The core mechanic of 'I Choose Hue" is deceptively simple yet incredibly challenging. Players must choose the correct color from a set of options as fast as possible. However, the twist lies in the interference: the text displayed on-screen may spell out a color that differs from its actual appearance, forcing your brain to process conflicting information quickly.
Speed-Based Challenge: The faster you answer, the higher your score multiplier.
Lives System: Start with three hearts, lose one for every incorrect answer. Run out, and it's game over!
Endless Mode: Play until you lose all hearts and see how far you can push your cognitive limits.
Timer Pressure: Each round gives you only a few seconds to respond. Delay too long, and you'll lose by default!
Progressive Difficulty: As you advance, the time allowed for each decision decreases, and distractions increase.
