À propos de l'application

Prayer Diary brings together a library of Shia duas, ziyarat and amaal with a private daily record of your salah.
Everything stays on your device. There are no adverts, no accounts and no sign-up. The app does not request internet permission at all, so it has no way to send your reading or your prayer record anywhere.

THE LIBRARY

474 texts, each with the Arabic alongside a plain English translation.

• Duas — 40 supplications, including Kumayl, Tawassul, Nudba, Sabah, Ahad and Hadith Kisa
• Ziyarat — 60 recitations, including Ashura, Warith and Ziarat Jamia Kabeera
• Sahifa Sajjadiya — all 68 supplications of Imam Zayn al-Abidin (AS)
• Munajat — 18 whispered prayers
• Taqibat — 51 recitations, arranged by the prayer they follow
• Salaat — 69 recitations covering wudhu, adhan and iqamah, what is said during salaat, Sajdah ash-Shukr and Salat ul Layl

• Tasbih — 9 counters, including the Tasbih of Lady Fatima al-Zahra (AS) and the Rajab tasbeeh

MY SALAH

• Log Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha as you pray them
• Log a whole day at once when you are catching up
• Keep a running qadha count, worked out from your age at puberty and the age you began praying, or entered directly if you already know it
• Review your record over weeks and months
• Step-by-step guides for how to perform wudu and how to perform salah

READING

• Six Arabic typefaces — Amiri, Scheherazade New, Lateef, Noto Naskh Arabic, Noto Nastaliq Urdu and Gulzar
• Arabic sized from 20 to 44 point
• Show the Arabic alone, the translation alone, or both together
• Nine reading themes for day and night
• Continuous scroll, or swipe page by page
• Bookmarks, favourites, and a Continue reading shortcut on the home screen
• Search across the whole library

The Arabic is the source text. The English is kept plain and close to it, so it can be read alongside the Arabic rather than in place of it.

Nouveautés

Salat ul Layl now opens three ways, all eleven rakats, the last three,
or Witr alone with the time left until Fajr at the top.
Wudhu, the Adhan, the Qunoot and Salatul Ghufayla each read as one
scroll instead of a folder of separate files.
Four supplications for waking in the night, and two more Quranic verses
for the qunoot.
Type a verse number in a surah to jump straight to it.
The Arabic now reads in Nastaleeq by default.
