Regulators is a tunable set of three drones and three regulators (Tenor, Baritone, and Bass) found on a full set of Uilleann pipes in the most common keys of D, C#, C, B, and Bb.
Choice of Lynch or Crowley-style drones.
This app is a great educational tool for those who already play the Uilleann pipes or who are interested in the instrument to learn about playing the regulators.
In the demo video, I'm using an earlier version of the app to play the regulators along with a recording of me playing the jig "The Sporting Pitchfork" on my real chanter.
Practice the regulators by playing along with recordings in your music library music.
Lynch drone samples recorded from my personal set. Crowley drone samples originally provided by Vinnie Kilduff.
Instructions:
Touch the drone puck image to start/stop the drones.
Touch the regulator keys to play them.
Touch the "?" button to show/hide the note names.
Touch the "i" below the drone puck to select the key and drone style.
Tune the drones and regulators up to +/- 40 cents by touching the slider to the left of the regulators. Tuning offset is reset to zero when the settings page is displayed.
The selected key is saved and used the next time you run the app.

A quote from "Ed the Piper" one of the users of the original version of the app:
"Regulators is not just an app, it's an instrument in it's own right. It serves a number of functions that would be useful to students, players, composers and even Uilleann Pipe techs like me. This instrument basically mirrors a genuine set of regulators found on full sets of Uilleann Pipes but designed to be used on mobile device. Not only regulators but drones as well. So, in this app, you get your bass, baritone and tenor regulators as you can see on the screen shots, but also the bass, baritone and tenor drones..."
