No other Austin media brings you national and local news like KUT 90.5 FM. KUT News is more than just Austin’s NPR Station. Our listeners can tune in 24 hours a day for news and information from NPR, PRI, the BBC and our own newsroom. Staples like Morning Edition and All Things Considered from National Public Radio, plus programs like The World from Public Radio International and BBC News Hour bring global perspectives, and award-winning local news from KUT's reporters, are all in the palm of your hand. Download, tune in, and listen wherever you may be.
In this new version you can read KUT news stories from within the app, as well as top stories from NPR and the Texas Standard. You can now also receive important news alerts and notifications from the KUT newsroom--we promise not to spam you with too many messages, we'll just alert you when there's important information to share with our audience. You can always opt to turn this off! We've also included access to many of our podcasts episodes. Once you've found your new favorite, just subscribe to it on your preferred podcast app.
The KUT app provides an all digital, efficient stream using the AAC+ codec. It sounds great on all platforms, devices, radios and over cellular. You can of course listen to KUT when you're traveling outside of Austin, and even the country, to stay connected to home. Tap in some headphones or plug your phone and have a listen!
If you're also a fan of KUTX -- The Austin Music Experience, please download the separate version of that app as well and tune in for music discovery journey. The KUTX app has the current playlist, two additional music streams and the same great audio. We've separated the apps so we can bring better and different features to each in the future.
