A mental math educational app. Teacher designed. At the simplest set level: You’ll practice the 12 times table, (i.e. up to 12 *12 = 144). An app to increase your skills in multiplication with.
Use at home, school or anywhere. Increases basic mental mathematics skills. Great for your children, pupils, students, or anyone.
The quizzes combined with a thorough study of the graphic number line, are invaluable for to gain a developed number sense skill, and for to speed up each calculation process.
In each quiz round two numbers are displayed, (i.e. operands). Your task is to as quickly as possible calculate, (or guess), the product of these two numbers. In each such quiz round you have to choose the correct answer from one out of six randomly proposed results. The faster you are, the more points you'll get for each correct answer. Feedback is rapidly given at the end of each quiz.
Pros:
+ Is by default set to test your skill in multiplication using the 12 times table, (up to 12*12 = 144).
+ For easy use, choose between different preset difficulty levels, or you can choose to use more specific settings, for a more advanced mental math training.
+ Can be set to test your skills in multiplication calculations using just positive numbers or be set to use both positive and negative numbers, (i.e. operands). You can also change if the numbers should be set to be integer values, or to use some decimals.
+ You can choose to display a graphic number line at the end of each quiz, to get a better understanding of all the used values in each calculation. This can give you a "better feel", and better understanding for the different numeric values used in each quiz calculation.
+ The number line correctly displays the position of the two operands as two black dots, the correct result as a green dot, and a possible wrong answer as a red dot, (if a wrong answer was chosen in a quiz).
+ You can toggle the number line on or off. (The default setting is on).
+ You can toggle sound on or off, i.e. the positive sound played when a correct answer is given, and the negative sound played when an incorrect answer is given. (The default setting is on).
+ Your results so far can anytime be displayed by a tap on a button, and as nicely formatted statistics, with an ending summary line of text, describing your current progress, (or maybe lack of progress ... ?).
+ You can choose to just display your results, or you have the option to send your settings and your results so far, in an email with a tap on a button. This enables you to compete against some other person using this app with the same settings. (Or just choose to save the mail with your settings and results, inside your mail application drafts folder).
+ For more advanced use of this app, you can choose to use "advanced settings": Then you can change the following parameters independent of each other: The allowed interval of each operand, (the default is 0 to 12). The number of decimals possibly used in each operand, (The default is 0). The start value of the quiz counter, (the default is 10 seconds). Toggle the display of the number line on or off. Toggle the sound on or off.
