À propos de l'application

Shikwa (Urdu: شکوہ ) and Jawab-e-Shikwa (Urdu: جواب شکوہ ) are poems written by well known Urdu language poet Muhammad Iqbal.

This App has Multilanguage of Shikwa and Jawab-e-Shikwa with Urdu, English and Hindi Language.

Here is an English summary and explanation of the famous Urdu poems Shikwa (The Complaint) and Jawab-e-Shikwa (The Response to the Complaint) by Muhammad Iqbal:

Shikwa - The Complaint
In this poetic monologue, the poet speaks as the personification of Islam. He complains to God about the decline of Muslims and the Muslim world. Despite Muslims' devoted following of Islam, God appears to have forsaken them and allowed them to fall under the domination of Western colonial powers. The poet asks why God has abandoned Muslims when they have sacrificed so much in God's name. He questions why the faithful have been deprived while nonbelievers prosper.

Jawab-e-Shikwa - The Response to the Complaint
This poem is structured as God's reply to the complaint voiced in Shikwa. God admonishes the poet-speaker for doubting. He reminds that suffering is part of His divine plan and that hardship brings spiritual growth. God asserts that Muslims have lost sight of the true spiritual message of Islam and have become obsessed with ritualism, legalism, and politics. God says Muslims must reform themselves from within before they can regain their former glory. The poet is told to spread this message of reform and revival to lead the Muslim community back to righteousness.

In summary, through this poetic dialogue Iqbal explores themes of devotion, doubt, suffering, free will, and universal ethics beyond religious identities. The poems promote spiritual self-reflection and internal reform rather than mere lament over external circumstances.
