dXCloud is a peer-to-peer backup app that keeps your files private by design. Instead of storing your data on a company's servers, dXCloud encrypts it on your device and distributes the encrypted pieces across a network of peers - so there is no central server, and no one but you can read your files.

How it works:
- End-to-end encryption: files are encrypted on your device with AES-256 before anything leaves it. Only you hold the keys.
- No central cloud: there is no company data center holding your files. Encrypted shards live across the peer network.
- Resilient by design: each file is split with redundancy, so your backup survives even if some peers go offline.
- You contribute, you benefit: pledge a slice of your device storage to help hold other people's encrypted shards, and the network helps hold yours.
- Direct device-to-device transfer: data moves peer-to-peer over secure, encrypted channels.

Your control:
- Choose exactly how much storage you pledge to the network.
- A recovery phrase restores your identity and files on a new device.
- Auto-sync a folder so new files are backed up automatically.

dXCloud is built for people who want a backup they actually control - private, decentralized, and transparent.

Note: dXCloud is in active development. Your encrypted backups are distributed across a peer network. Keep your recovery phrase safe - it is the only way to restore your data.
