तंत्र विज्ञान है; तंत्र दर्शन नहीं है. दर्शन को समझना आसान है; क्यूंकि उसके लिए सिर्फ मस्तिष्क की जरूरत पड़ती है. यदि तुम भाषा जानते हो, यदि तुम प्रत्यय समझते हो तो तुम दर्शन समझ सकते हो. उसके लिए तुम्हें बदलने की, संपरिवर्तित होने की कोई जरूरत नहीं है. तुम जैसे हो वैसे ही बने रहकर दर्शन को समझ सकते हो. लेकिन वैसे ही बने रहकर तंत्र को नहीं समझ सकते हो. तंत्र को समझने के लिए तुम्हारे बदलने की जरूरत रहेगी; बदलाहट की ही नहीं, आमूल बदलाहट की जरूरत होगी.
जब तक तुम बिलकुल भिन्न नहीं हो जाते हो, तब तक तंत्र को नहीं समझा जा सकता. क्यूंकि तंत्र कोई बौद्धिक प्रस्तावना नहीं है; वह एक अनुभव है. और जब तक तुम अनुभव के प्रति संवेदनशील, तैयार, खुले हुए नहीं होते, तब तक यह अनुभव तुम्हारे पास आने को नहीं है.
