Speak instead of typing. Open a chat, an email, a note or a search box, switch to Skrivla, and talk. Your words appear in the field as you say them, ready to send.
Skrivla is a voice keyboard, not another crowded QWERTY. Its compact layout keeps the text field visible. The controls stay simple: record, punctuation, undo, and one tap back to your usual keyboard.
TEXT APPEARS WHILE YOU SPEAK
Your speech is transcribed while you are still speaking, so text lands in the field in real time instead of after a wait. Filler words, false starts and the "um, no wait, I mean" restarts are cleaned up along the way. Review the result before you send it. Skrivla writes down what you said. It does not rewrite your message or change your tone.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Dictate in many apps with standard text fields: messages, email, notes, search, forms, AI prompts
• Watch your words appear live as you speak
• Tap punctuation (. , ? ! : ; ' " …) without breaking your flow
• Undo your last dictation, and redo it, when you change your mind
• Reuse any of your last 20 transcriptions from on-device history: preview, insert, copy, delete
• Go back to your normal keyboard with one tap
• Light and dark, following your phone's theme
93 DICTATION LANGUAGES
Let Skrivla detect the language automatically, or choose the languages you actually speak so detection has less room to guess wrong. Switch between them from the globe in the keyboard, without changing keyboards. Skrivla's own interface is fully translated into 26 languages and follows your phone.
IT DOES NOT READ YOUR SCREEN
Skrivla is a real Android keyboard, not an accessibility overlay. It never asks for permission to monitor your screen. Like other Android keyboards, it reads a limited amount of text around the cursor locally to insert and verify your dictation; that text is never logged, stored or sent to Skrivla's servers or the transcription service. Your phone streams audio directly to the transcription service. Skrivla never writes it to disk or sends it through its own servers, but the provider may retain audio and transcripts under its own rules. Your last 20 transcriptions stay in app-private storage on this device, where you can delete one or clear them all. In password fields, Skrivla does not dictate at all.
WHEN A DICTATION IS INTERRUPTED
A dropped connection or an app restart should not cost you what you just said. If the connection fails mid-sentence, Skrivla can fetch the complete transcript instead of leaving you with half a thought. After a restart, Skrivla offers to restore those words and shows you the exact text first. If you ignore the offer, the text remains available. Choose Discard if you no longer want to keep it. Skrivla does not pretend that nothing can ever be lost. It is built to make that a rare exception.
GETTING STARTED
To get started, enable Skrivla in your keyboard settings, allow the microphone, and switch to Skrivla. On-screen guidance walks you through setup, and Skrivla works on Android 9 and later. You sign in with Google so your trial and subscription follow you across your devices, and an internet connection is required because transcription happens in the cloud.
Skrivla starts with a free trial, no payment method required. After that it is one simple monthly subscription, managed and cancelled in Google Play.
Speak, and Skrivla types where you write.
Voice typing across Android. Speak, and your words appear as you talk.
