Your alarm goes off at 6:30 and the phone is already silent, screen dimmed, podcast cued up.
You reach the office. Wi-Fi connects, Bluetooth pairs your headset, the screen stops sleeping.
Battery drops under 15%. Brightness falls, Bluetooth cuts out, and the phone tells you out loud.
You built each once. Your phone handles them from then on.
HOW IT WORKS
A flow is a diagram, not a sentence. You drop nodes on a canvas — a trigger, then actions, logic and utilities — and wire them up.
Conditions split the path: one branch silences the ringer, the other posts a notification. Loops repeat a step over a list. Each node hands its output to the next, and {{expressions}} carry it along the wires.
Most flows are three or four nodes and take a minute, or install a template and rewire it.
Or describe it in plain English and the assistant drafts the graph onto the canvas. You review every node before anything saves.
YOUR PHONE, WITH AN API
Flowroid runs an authenticated HTTP server on the phone itself, so n8n, Make, Home Assistant or a shell script can fire flows and read device state over your network. Off by default, localhost-only until you enable LAN access, always behind an API key.
35 TRIGGERS
Schedules, boot, alarms, calendar events. Notifications from any app, filtered by title or text. Battery, charging, temperature. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, network type, airplane mode, VPN, hotspot. Geofences. Sensors: activity, proximity, light, steps, pickup. Screen, headset, NFC, Do Not Disturb, media buttons. App in foreground, call state, clipboard, shared text. Webhooks. Manual runs from tiles, shortcuts, widgets.
44 ACTIONS
Post notifications, set the clipboard, fire intents. Volume, ringer, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, screen, brightness, flashlight, vibrate, dark mode. Play audio, speak aloud, control media, launch or stop apps. HTTP requests with retry. Files: read, write, copy, move, delete. Sub-flows, math, text and list tools.
If/else, loops, delays and variables are their own nodes. Three variable scopes: global, flow-local, and secret ones encrypted with the Android Keystore. 27+ condition operators with AND/OR grouping.
5 AI STEPS
Classify, extract, summarize, translate or ask mid-flow. Each has a fallback, so flows run on at a zero balance.
THE ASSISTANT
Ask in plain language and it runs your flows and Flowroid's own device actions. Anything that changes your device asks first, showing what will run.
No account with an AI provider, no API key to paste. Flowroid AI includes a monthly allowance, and top-ups never expire. Run out and the assistant pauses until it resets — your automations keep running, whatever your balance.
Prefer your own model? Point Flowroid at Ollama, LM Studio or any OpenAI-compatible server you host, unmetered.
WHAT IT WON'T DO
Flowroid has no accessibility service, so it can't tap buttons or read the screen inside other apps. It automates the phone itself, and the assistant runs Flowroid's own actions, nothing else. It doesn't read or send SMS. Some actions depend on your manufacturer's Android build, and the app says so.
PRIVACY
• Flows, variables and logs stay on the device. No account, no ads
• Automations keep running with no internet at all
• Use the assistant or an AI step and that text goes to our server and on to Google's Gemini API. We don't store or log it
• Use neither and nothing you type leaves the phone
