SectionPro is a comprehensive cross-section analysis software developed by bridge engineers for civil and structural engineering professionals.

GEOMETRY
- A fast mode for defining standard cross-sections used by structural engineers : rectangular, circular, elliptical, hexagonal, octagonal, beams, shear wall, etc. Can be solid or hollow, with automatic rebar layout, plus custom sections via import of XY coordinates or definition of successive primitives (segments, circular and elliptical arcs).
- An advanced mode, which can be used to build virtually any section component by component : multiple concrete and structural-steel domains, embedded standard profiles (IPE, HEB…), passive reinforcement, prestressing cables and thin steel plates. Can be used to model reinforced and prestressed concrete members, structural-steel profiles, composite steel-concrete columns or beams, multi-cell box girders or composite bridge piers.
MATERIALS
Concrete and steel constitutive laws can be generated automatically for the selected code with only a few input parameters.
Supported: Eurocode 2, ACI 318, BAEL 91, CSA A23.3 and CSA S6:19, AASHTO LRFD, SIA 262, IRC:SP:112 and IS 456, NBR 6118.
In the advanced mode each component has its own material law, which can be defined using typical models (parabolic-rectangle for concrete, elasto-plastic with hardening for steel, etc),
or through point by point or polynomial functions which lets you define any stress-strain law from experimental data.
ANALYSES
- Mechanical characteristics : area, centroid, moments of inertia, extreme fibers, torsion constant, shear areas.
- Stress and strain verification : internal equilibrium state, strain and stress distribution, internal forces and governing load case.
- Reinforcement design : minimum steel area to ensure mechanical resistance. One or more materials may be at exactly the failure strain in compression or tension.
- 3D interaction surface : N-My-Mz resistance boundary with built-in 3D viewer.
- Verification and design via interaction surface : distance to the resistance boundary, safety margin, and minimum reinforcement to ensure mechanical resistance.
- Interaction curves : 2D interaction curve, with one component fixed. Envelope mode to allow the analysis of multiple values of the fixed component.
- Stiffness curves : M-χ and N-ε, pushover and cracked stiffness.
- Second-order effects : methodology based on curvature evaluation, allows to compute the second order moment amplification, the critical load and the failure mode (mechanical or instability).
- Crack width and spacing : characteristic width wk and spacing per the Eurocode 2 methodology.
- Fire analysis : transient thermal field and thermo-mechanical computations such as resistance check, interaction surface, time to failure, etc., with temperature-degraded concrete and steel.
IMPORT AND EXPORT
Import geometries and bulk load cases from CAD and finite-element outputs. Export geometry, materials, loads and results to TXT, XLS and PDF formats.
