Three concentric rings visualize the different phases of the sun — from astronomical twilight to golden hour to daylight. A time indicator shows you where you are in the day.

What you see:

How it works:
SolarRing calculates the sun's position using astronomical formulas (NOAA algorithm) for your current location. The phase boundaries are based on the sun's altitude: -18° (astronomical twilight), -12° (nautical twilight), -6° (civil twilight), 0° (sunrise/sunset), and 6° (golden hour).

Location:
The app uses your location exclusively locally to calculate sun times. No data is transferred or stored. Without GPS access, Berlin is used as the default location.
