OBU1 Driver makes road tax payment more accurate and lowers the number of potential fines.

Developed by SafeFleet, the application is highly recommended for companies whose fleets travel frequently through Hungary and pay their road taxes with the help of an OBU device.

OBU1 Driver is meant to keep drivers informed with regard to their OBU device and allows them to change vehicle characteristics from the road (e.g. number of axles), so that the value of the road tax is calculated accordingly*.

*Road tax in Hungary is determined based on:
 • journey length
 • road category
 • the number of axles (J2, J3, J4)
 • pollution degree (Euro 3, 4, 5)

Within the application, drivers can:
 • check service status in real time
 • update vehicle information (number of axles, total weight, etc) after loading or removal of cargo
 • receive notifications when OBU device is offline or not working properly
 • be notified when HU-GO account is low on credit
