Αυτή η εφαρμογή αποτελεί μία απλή έκδοση της Αγίας Γραφής που μπορεί ο καθένας να έχει στην τσέπη του. Ο σκοπός μας είναι αυτή η εφαρμογή να είναι όσο το δυνατόν πιο απλή έτσι ώστε ο χρήστης να έχει πρόσβαση στο κείμενο χωρίς να αποσπάται. Το περιβάλλον ανάγνωσης και αναζήτησης είναι εύκολο στην χρήση του με το επιπλέον χαρακτηρηστικό ανάγνωσης του κειμένου ακόμα και όταν ο χρήστης δεν έχει πρόσβαση στο διαδίκτυο.
Η Ελληνική Βιβλική Εταιρία έχει ως σκοπό τη μετάφραση, έκδοση και διάδοση της Αγίας Γραφής. Οι εκδόσεις μας στα νέα ελληνικά έχουν την Ευλογία και Έγκριση του Οικουμενικού Πατριαρχείου, της Ιεράς Συνόδου της Εκκλησίας της Ελλάδος και των Πρεσβυγενών Πατριαρχείων.
Η Ελληνική Βιβλική Εταιρία έχει προσφέρει ήδη στον ελληνικό λαό τρεις μεταφράσεις, σε διάφορα γλωσσικά επίπεδα:
Μετάφραση της Αγίας Γραφής από τον Αρχιμανδρίτη και Καθηγητή του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών, Νεόφυτο Βάμβα (1850).
Μετάφραση της Καινής Διαθήκης από ομάδα Καθηγητών του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών υπό τον Βασίλειο Βέλλα (1967).
Μετάφραση ολόκληρης της Αγίας Γραφής στη δημοτική (1997) από ομάδα 12 Καθηγητών των Θεολογικών Σχολών Αθηνών και Θεσσαλονίκης.
This app is a simple Bible in your pocket. We've intentionally made the application simple to have focus on God's word without distractions. The interface to browse and search the Bible is easy to use with the added benefit of offline reading when the internet is not assessable.
The mission of the Hellenic Bible Society is to translate, publish and distribute the Holy Bible. Our publications in modern Greek have the Blessing and Endorsement of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece and the Patriarchates.
The Hellenic Bible Society has already provided the Greek population with three translations in different language levels:
Translation of the Bible by Archimandrite and the University of Athens Professor, Neophytos Vamvas (1850).
Translation of the New Testament by a group of professors from the University of Athens under Basil Vellas (1967).
Translation of the whole Bible in the demotic (1997) by a group of 12 professors of theological schools of Athens and Thessaloniki.
