Kareero is a one-of-a-kind interactive interest assessment tool. Through the in-app development of a school gardening program, Kareero tracks your choices and actions to reveal your interest areas. Used in conjunction with Agriculture in the Classroom Canada’s thinkAG website, Kareero helps you explore careers that match your interests.
Kareero is based on the internationally trusted Holland Code model, also known as the RIASEC system. The Holland theory suggests there are six broad categories into which individuals can be grouped based on personalities, preferences, and interest areas:
o Build (Realistic)
o Think (Investigative)
o Create (Artistic)
o Help (Social)
o Persuade (Enterprising)
o Organize (Conventional)
So, take on fun activities, make your own choices, and discover your interests to find out which careers are right for you, with Kareero!
TOP FEATURES:
1. Complete fun challenges and tasks while simultaneously completing an interest assessment
2. Get results consistent with Holland Code/RIASEC tests
3. Receive a PDF copy of gameplay results (highest-scoring interest areas and suggested careers) conveniently via email
4. Generate teacher codes that can be used in classrooms to compile aptitude data for groups of students, streamlining careers programming
5. Learn about how food is grown and produced
6. Trust that relevant curriculum is being addressed in subjects like Career Exploration, Practical Applied Arts, Science, and more
English and French language options available. Total simulation experience takes approximately 10-20 minutes. Most suitable for ages 15-17.
