The AccuRad Training Application provides interactive training content including tutorials and videos. For the organizations and users operating the AccuRad, this Application ensures the best level of understanding of the device, its capabilities, and the actions to take in case of an alarm. It also demonstrates how to safely and efficiently localize a radioactive source in different scenarios. The “Take Test” button gives access to an interactive evaluation, including realistic situations where the user is asked how to proceed. The user has the option of sending their results to a supervisor by email in order to track their progress.

The AccuRad personal radiation detector (PRD) is built to help first responders and law enforcement officials detect and locate sources of harmful nuclear radiation in order to protect both safety professionals and the general public. It’s the first PRD developed in close collaboration with these in-the-field professionals, resulting in a world-class radiation detection device that is tough, consistent, and in it for the long haul – just like the people who use it.
