Lord Shiva’s wife, Maa Parvati is the Mother Goddess, the Creater of everything in the Universe, who showers on everyone of us, her love and blessings.
Lord Shiva and Maa Parvati live on Mount Kailash, with their sweet son, Ganesha. Ganesha has an elephant head, which represents his great wisdom. Ganesha is also called Bigan Haran, because he removes every hurdle that may obstruct our way to success, peace and happiness.
Lord Shiva is Known from his Appearance, as:
Jata Dhari: He has long hair.
Ganga Dahri: He carries the river Ganges on his head.
Damru Dhari: He plays Damru (a hand drum)
Trishule Dhari: A fatal weapon to kill demons
Nageshwar: God of Snakes
Nateshwara: He is a great dancer.
