ENGINEERED FOR PERFORMANCE & EFFICIENCY

• Battery-Saving Screen Observer: The app uses native Android screen receivers to automatically pause the 1-second background speed polling loop when your device screen is turned off. Polling resumes instantly when you wake your screen.
• Native Kotlin Service: The background tracking service is written entirely in native Kotlin rather than loading heavy runtime environments. This keeps the active memory footprint under 5MB and ensures the app package is compact (~5 MB).
• Autostart on Boot: The monitoring service starts automatically when you reboot your phone. You don't have to manually launch the app to keep your status bar indicator active.

PRIVACY-FIRST & OFFLINE SECURITY

• Fully Offline Operations: Your speed statistics, carrier details, and package data lists are processed and stored locally on your device in an isolated SQLite database. We do not collect, monitor, or share your data.
• No Telemetry or Ads: There is no telemetry, background analytics, or advertising SDKs bundled inside the application code.

MANUFACTURER OPTIMIZATION GUIDE
To ensure the status bar speed indicator updates continuously and is not killed by the Android OS:
1. Open your phone's Settings > Apps > Internet Speed Meter Pro.
2. Tap on Battery or Battery Saver.
3. Select Unrestricted (or disable "Battery Optimization" / "Smart Background Control").
This configuration is highly recommended for devices manufactured by Samsung, Xiaomi, OnePlus, and Pixel.

Note: Do not install or move the application to the SD card. Moving the app to external storage can cause the background service to stop functioning when the card is removed.
