Turn your phone or tablet into a camera field monitor.
Field Monitor shows your camera's HDMI output through a UVC HDMI capture card, or the picture from a USB camera, with the monitoring tools filmmakers rely on: focus peaking, zebras, false color, waveform, histogram, vectorscope and LUT preview. Plug in, start, and check focus and exposure on a bigger screen.
Monitor modes keep the right tools at hand:
- Focus: focus peaking in five colors with adjustable sensitivity, and 2× punch-in to check critical focus
- Exposure: zebras, false color with an on-screen legend, a tap-to-measure spot meter, and live waveform, histogram and vectorscope
- Framing: rule of thirds, center cross and safe area guides, aspect masks from 16:9 to 2.39:1, anamorphic de-squeeze, and mirror or flip
- Clean: the picture with nothing on top
- Director View: a locked, clean picture to hand to a director or client
More tools:
- LUT preview with built-in log to Rec.709 LUTs for Sony S-Log3, Canon C-Log3, Panasonic V-Log, Fujifilm F-Log2, Nikon N-Log, DJI D-Log, ARRI LogC3 and Blackmagic Gen5, or load your own .cube files
- Camera profiles: ready-made setups for log, anamorphic and vertical shooting, or save your own
- Listen to the camera's audio with level meters per channel
- Settings and tools stay as you left them
Free and Pro:
Field Monitor is free to use with daily free monitoring time, with focus peaking, punch-in, zebras, the spot meter, guides and 16:9 masks. Field Monitor Pro is a one-time purchase with no subscription. It adds unlimited monitoring time, false color, waveform, histogram, vectorscope, LUTs, anamorphic de-squeeze, all aspect masks, Director View and saved camera profiles.
What you need:
- A UVC HDMI capture card for cameras with HDMI out, or a USB (UVC) camera
- A phone or tablet with a USB-C port that supports USB host (OTG), and a data-capable cable or adapter
Field Monitor does not turn a USB-C port into a direct HDMI input; a capture card is required for HDMI. Capture cards, video formats and Android USB support vary by device. HDCP-protected video may not display.
