This program puts a lot of emphasis on the core, abs, and lower back. To develop a good solid core will help transfer the energy from the center of your body to your outer limbs efficiently when performing moves. Additionally, the program focuses on flexibility, range of motion, resistance, balance, and plyometric explosive training.
No matter if you are a competitive gymnast or participate for fun - improving your strength is vital! By becoming stronger and more flexible you will be able to learn new skills and be less likely to get injured. By developing certain muscle groups, you will have an easier time performing certain moves - example: Developing certain muscles in your legs lead to more explosive tumbling and vaulting. Additionally, leg strength works to develop balance specific to dance, acrobatic floor, and balance beam techniques.
