Loop Lock is a self-control tool that helps you focus by blocking distracting websites and app domains.
Turn protection on and the distractions are blocked. Turn it off and everything goes back to normal. No complicated setup, no account.
HOW IT WORKS
Loop Lock uses Android's VpnService API to perform domain filtering directly on your device. This is NOT a traditional VPN and it does not connect to a remote server.
Your network traffic is never routed through a server, never logged, and never leaves your device. Requests to blocked domains are dropped locally; everything else reaches its destination unchanged.
No root access required. On Android, this is the way to do system-wide domain filtering without root.

BIOMETRIC LOCK
You can require fingerprint or face verification before protection is turned on or off, or before the settings are changed. That way only you can change the blocking settings — someone else using the device cannot remove the protection.
Verification runs through Android's own biometric system. Loop Lock has no access to your fingerprint or face data; it stays in the secure hardware of your device and is never passed to the app.
If biometric verification fails, or your device does not support it, the PIN you set is used as the fallback.
PRIVACY
Loop Lock collects no personal data. There is no analytics, advertising or third-party tracking SDK, and no account is required. Your network traffic is never logged or shared.
The PIN you choose is stored on your device in an irreversible form (using PBKDF2). Your fingerprint and face data stay in Android's secure hardware; Loop Lock never accesses them.
DNS queries for domains that are not blocked are forwarded to public DNS resolvers so that they can be resolved. We do not log these queries.

OPTIONAL: DEVICE ADMIN
You can enable the Device Admin permission if you want to. Its only purpose is to make it harder to remove the app on a sudden impulse.
With this permission, Loop Lock does not wipe your device, does not change your password, does not lock your screen, and does not enforce any administrator policy. You can turn the permission off from inside the app at any time. All blocking features work without it.

It helps when you are working, studying, or simply want to put the phone down.
